FrequencyMC Survival has now been updated to Minecraft: Java Edition version 1.21, also known as the Tricky Trials update!
New in this update#
Explore challenging Trial Chambers filled with puzzles, obstacles, and various creatures. Utilize the new Wind Charge ability to navigate the environment. Additionally, the update introduces a new weapon, the Mace, along with other blocks, items, and potions, all of which are now available on the server!
Overworld expanded#
The Overworld has been expanded from 15,000 blocks wide all the way up to 20,000 blocks wide! This means you can go
10,000 blocks in any direction from 0,0. Since the new Trial Chambers only spawn in newly-generated terrain, this means
it’ll be easy to find them! Using the /rtp command to randomly teleport to somewhere in the Overworld is an easy way
to explore in this new area!
Live map changes#
The live web map now also shows The End dimension! This means that you’re now able to see the whereabouts of other online players, even if they’re not in the Overworld or Nether! Currently, the map area is restricted to only showing blocks in a 500x500 circle from the overworld portal. This is to prevent players immediately finding all of the end cities and grabbing all the elytras!
The map has also had a few small changes to the look and feel of the tooltips and sidebar to give it more of a Minecraft feel!
Claiming changes#
The amount of claim blocks you get just for being online has been increased up to 35 claim blocks every 15 minutes for Frequency rank! The amount of claim blocks earned now depends on which rank you have, but it’s still been increased for everyone regardless of rank! This makes it easier than ever to get started building your base alone or with friends and make sure it’s protected from anyone else!
Additionally, a common frustration has been addressed! While standing in someone else’s claim, you’re not able to attack entities in order to prevent killing other players’ pets and mobs. Because of this, it was sometimes frustrating or even deadly to not be able to kill any non-friendly mobs attacking you! This is no longer the case because now you’re able to attack any mobs that are currently targeting you and trying to kill you.
